Phil was previously the Regional Chair for Multiple Sclerosis Society and provides a link between M.S. Society North West and GMNA. Phil was diagnosed with M.S. in 2001. |

Barbara Tew: (Secretary) Member of the MND Association since 1986 in various roles. Carer, Branch Chairman, Trustee, currently Association Visitor, Evening Helpline volunteer, MND Care Centre Clinic volunteer and Branch Secretary. Barbara has been involved with the GMNA from the beginning. |

Mike Harnor: Mike is a trustee for GMNA and company director for British Epilepsy Association (‘Epilepsy Action’). National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) – member of the Guideline Development group for the Epilepsies(2009-2011) Commission on Human Medicines (CHM) - Lay member on the Expert Advisory Group for Neurology, Pain and Psychiatry. Medicines and Healthcare ProductsRegulatory Agency (MHRA) - lay members group. Member of NHS Research Ethics Committees. Elected governor - Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. |
| Gill Pearl: Gill is a GMNA trustee and has been involved with the Greater Manchester Neurological Alliance from the start. Her background as a speech and language therapist has lead to an interesting career path. She currently works as the Chief Executive of Speakeasy (a North West aphasia charity) and as a project manager for the Disabled Living Centre in Manchester. |

Sam Firth: Sam is a GMNA Trustee and has been a personal injury lawyer for more than 10 years, most recently at Fentons Solicitors, and is proud to be a Trustee of GMNA. Sam has experience of dealing with brain injured litigants, cultivating an interest in this area since his own acquired brain injury of summer 2000. |
