Local GMNA Groups

We have developed two support groups during Phase 1 of our project.  Both these groups are aimed at service users with any type of neurological condition, and/or their carers.  The purpose of these groups is to provide information, advice and support as well as a chance to relax and meet new friends.

BURY ROCHDALE & OLDHAM NEURO SUPPORT

This group is for people with any type of neurological condition, and/or their carers, living in Bury, Rochdale or Oldham.   It provides opportunities to get information, support and advice and also a chance to meet other individuals in similar circumstances.  Guest speakers are normally invited to each meeting. Since January 2011 meetings are now rotated around the three areas and hosted by various local voluntary groups such as MS Society (Bury), R.O.B.E.S Rochdale and Epilepsy Action, Oldham.  We feel that this is a good way for voluntary organisations to work together and it ensures that important information is shared to a wider audience.   The group meet most months with the exception of April, August and December.

Venue: Various times, dates and venues.  Details are posted on our website and facebook page.  Alternative contact Yvonne for details.
